Sign up for summer sessions with CAPE! There are session options available for people of all ages. As this is our inaugural summer, our summer sessions change WEEKLY to allow for vacations, breaks, and changes in activities! Please plan to check back and register for programs weekly. Payment Information:
- Payment is due by the start of the session. - Sessions change by WEEK, please pay for sessions a week at a time. - If you are interested in signing up for an entire summer of sessions, please connect with CAPE. Make it Monday: $30 per person per session Dungeons and Dragons: $25 per person per session Other sessions: $20 per person per 2 hour session |

Summer Session Information:
Make it Monday:
Monday, 2-4pm, ages 8-12 |
Make it Monday is a Makerspace build session class for middle school age students to engage in build and DIY projects! Each session will include a build project, discussion around materials and the activity, as well as open creation time. No experience necessary! The cost for this session is $30 per student.

Guided Makerspace Build:
Thursday, 2-4pm, ages 12+ |
Makerspace Guided Build time is for older creators who may not be comfortable working alone, do not have a project picked, or want to work with others in a group setting! Projects will be hands-on build projects where participants will learn how to use various tools and materials to create something. Projects may include wooden candy dispensers, trinket boxes with latches, and even pet toys!

Fix it Friday:
Friday, 1-2:30pm, ages 12+ |
Learn how to fix things with your own hands! Students will learn how small engines operate, how to fix small electrical problems, and more! Train your brain in creativity and engineering in this hands-on session. Students are welcome to bring in small, broken appliances to try to fix with the help of the instructor.

DIY Projects:
Wednesday, 2-4pm, ages 8-10 |
DIY Projects: In this fun and interesting class students will discover ways to make their own DIY projects including slime, soaps, body scrubs, mason jar lanterns, nail polish art, pour painting projects, wind chimes and so much more! Each project will be accompanied by a step by step to do sheet that the students will be able to add to their folders for future use.

Furniture Restoration:
Tuesday, 2-4pm, ages 11+ |
Furniture Restoration: In this furniture restoration course, students will learn the basic principles and techniques for restoring multiple types of materials and creating do-it-yourself eclectic pieces that fit their aesthetic. Students will become familiarized with developing the talent of looking at something old and making it feel new again. Students will be provided guidance and step-by-step procedures in creating beautiful pieces through chalk paint, spray paint, stencil work, pour painting and distressing. No experience necessary!

Goal Setting: An Interactive Workshop

Goal Setting: This class provides an introduction to the world of visualizing goals, dreams, and ideas! Topics may be related to school, sports, travel, and more. Learn about how visualizing can be used for understanding our feelings, intentions, needs, and goals.

Dungeons and Dragons:
Monday 4-7pm, all ages Friday 1-3pm, all ages Friday 5-8PM, all ages |
Dungeons and Dragons: Write your own heroic, epic story as a team! Develop social skills through creative problem solving and tactical thinking all while learning Dungeons and Dragons Fifth edition. No previous experience necessary!

Wildlife Wednesday
Section 1: 2-4pm, ages 10+ |
Wildlife Wednesday will take participants through exciting activities relating to local wildlife, plants and animals! Each week, classes will focus on a different area and activity, including: Tree identifying and leaf collection, bird watching, Michigan rock exploration, and more! This class will include both an inside and outside component.

CAPE FIT:

CAPE FIT is a new Physical Fitness and Education program for the Summer of 2022. Participants will engage in various forms of physical activity, from gym games to team sports! This session is available to all who are interested in getting out and moving their body! No fitness experience necessary.
