Who are the Coaches: Our volunteer coaches have been recruited from Michigan Tech’s Honors College and Kinesiology department and all have experience playing soccer. Lack of Experience: In regards to experience level, in the youngest group, I am guessing it might not matter too much. We will have plenty of coaches to break up the groups into experience levels if needed. I would not let that prevent you from having your player participate. Evaluation: This year there will not be evaluations of skill. CAPE has done some research and found that in many youth sports programs, they break players into certain age groups to ensure the safety of the player over skill level. Gender Specific teams: We do not anticipate having large enough numbers to have break up age groups into gender specific teams, so we will have co-ed teams.

Provide local soccer coaches and college and high school players ways to get involved in community soccer.
Develop crew of referees and coaches who can continue with outdoor soccer season.
